The well- known Radio Jockey Mr. Rahul Makin famous for his show "Ishqiya" on OYE 104.8 FM came for the lecture on July 25, 2013. What a handsome personality he is! His style, voice, sense of humor- all extremely astounding. He talked about so many qualities a Radio Jockey should possess. during the session, he asked each one of us to tell a quality an RJ should possess. Everyone answered so well and when this session of asking and answering was almost on the verge of getting over, a point struck my mind. I wished to tell him that "an RJ should be sensitive enough". I wanted to tell this but I just could not. My "lack" of confidence held me. I was very clear that I have to overcome this fear but this "germ" of LACK swallowed my confidence and I ended up being mum.
And at last, Mr. Rahul said- "Emotional Quotient", it is the most important quality an RJ should have. It was indeed exasperating. I was about to break into tears but then somehow I controlled myself. But the only thing bullying me was that I could not concentrate much in his class. After sometime, he was gone and it was all a void for me.
Later, we had a session for Communication Skills. There, we had to take the interviews of our classmates as all of us hardly knew each other. I was the first one to perform the task and it was quite good. I did better than I thought I could. I was confident yet nervous. But there were really some good compliments. I was able to overcome my nervousness to some extent. and I hope that slowly and steadily all these fears would be out of my sight.
