All the successful people in the world have a story behind their success. They all have gone through a hard phase in their life; a phase which is unknown to us. Success is an outcome of hard work, struggle, sacrifices and determination. Many people have faced rejections before they could achieve something worthy.
For instance, Sachin Tendulakar- the famous Indian cricketer known as the "master-blaster" who couldn't even complete his high school is one person. I remember some of the points he made in his speech on the day he bid a farewell to cricket. He thanked his mother for her constant support. His last match in the Wankhede stadium was the first and the last his mother had witnessed. Besides, his brother Mr. Ajit Tendulkar never saw him playing. On the contrary, he was always willing to prepare Sachin physically, mentally and emotionally so that he can always perform his best on the field.
Most of the times, Sachin himself was unable to spend even a few moments with his children. And, above all, his wife Dr. Anjali Tendulkar was the one who was always there for him.
He said that she tolerated his frustrations, anger and mood swings and loved him in every situation.
These are various dark sides of his success which his fans perhaps never knew. The day he revealed all these facts, the world might have noticed the dark reality which is entirely beyond his victory. This shows how a person's success involves various shades of sacrifices and difficulties which either he can value or ignore.
We never realize who plays what role, in which manner behind our success. We might keep on moving ahead and forget to look back in order to be thankful to those who played a gigantic role and faced the innumerable number of difficulties just to see us smiling.
Few days back, Sachin was awarded Bharat Ratna which he truly deserves. He is someone who is very much down to earth and whose humility and politeness adorns him, just like a gem adorns a stone. The darkness behind is like a pearl which shines in the form of his triumph.
