The Empyrean Child of Allah!!!

Recently I was watching a news bulletin on Farooq Sheikh- the famous veteran actor who passed away on December 27, 2013. The bulletin talked about his early life, education, acting career, awards he won and the other accomplishments he made.It took various visuals from the films he acted in- "Noorie", "Chashme Buddoor", "Baazaar", "Umraao Jaan" and few others I exactly don't remember and the popular television show- "Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai".Also, the famous song titled "tumko dekha toh yeh khayaal aaya" could be over heard in the background.

The umpteen number of visuals had various aspects to show about his personality, but the only thing that caught my attention was Sheikh sahib's serene face.I could not resist myself from constantly gazing in his eyes. The depth and tranquility had something that was worth paying heed.

After the bulletin was over, I started thinking about it all over again. Moreover, I found myself humming the line "tumko dekha toh yeh khayaal aaya". Moments later, I started thinking about Sheikh sahib with the perception I made after seeing that bulletin. And suddenly, it struck my mind that I had saw him in the film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani". He played the role of Ranbir's father. It was the first time I had ever seen him in a film.

Those oculars started wandering in my mind and I could analyze his halycon appearance. The calmness on his face seemed to be a divine charm gifted by Allah. It showed the signs of the sanctity that Lord Ram possessed in the satayug. I saw him as a "man of peace", someone who perhaps was always away from the pessimistic world, or rather who never knew what cynicism is and always believed in the positive spirits. Any of us can hardly possess that charm which he had. He indeed was "the empyrean child of Allah" who is now peacefully resting in the lap of the mother earth..
